The Solidworks software package was used to create airflow simulations through the rig design. These were used to determine the behaviour of the airflow and ensure that it is suitable for the needs of the recycling process.

Images show the simulated airflow through the full rig and cyclone. The behaviour of the airflow during the simulations was as expected and was suitable for the design needs however, it must be noted that, the simulations represent ‘ideal conditions’. Real life airflow tests will be undertaken upon completion of the rig.
